Bred to cut and run, he has a good work ethic and
learns quickly.  Started under saddle, he needs to go to
his next home for specializing.

I can work with more than one horse at
home, but I can only show one at a time.

If you have experience in showing horses
and would like to help us out with our
horses, please contact us.

Sandy was originally purchased by someone else as a "broke" colt at a Max Hanson performance horse sale.  He
was definitely a looker with his refined head, lovely neck and beautiful mahogany bay colour.

He arrived here as a very scared, recently gelded, untrusting colt who had successfully bucked his previous trainer
off several times.

Ken helped Sandy gain confidence and was able to help his owner ride him when he was here.  Unfortunately his
owner still did not trust him and when he went back home it was a different story so his owner asked if we had
something we could trade him for.  We did, so Sandy came to live with us.

Our daughter was working for us at the time and spent some time working with him both in the arena and on the

Now that he is ours, we don't have a lot of time for him, but he is continuing to gain confidence.  Given time and the
right rider, he should make an awesome reiner, cutter, working cow horse and/or penner.

Sandy has only been ridden occasionally for a couple of years, but if you are interested, we would put an additional
"30 days" on him.  If you live in the area, our pre-purchase test program allows both you and us the opportunity to
make sure the match is a good one for both you and Sandy.

At this time we are willing to sell him to an experienced rider only.  We will not ship him to you unless your
experience shows you are ready for him.
